Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Sun's Matt Vensel reports on the latest about the Baltimore Ravens' battle at kicker. Veteran Billy Cundiff and rookie Justin Tucker are in a close battle. On one hand, there's the experienced Cundiff; on the other, there's the fact that Tucker has made 82 of the 87 field goals he's attempted in training camp.

Cincinnati Bengals middle linebacker Rey Maualuga will not play in this week's preseason contest against the Atlanta Falcons while he recovers from a knee injury he suffered last week against the New York Jets, reports Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer. Maualuga expects to be back to take the field against the Green Bay Packers next week.

The Cleveland Browns and head coach Pat Shurmur continue to maintain that receiver Mohamed Massaquoi suffered a concussion in the first preseason game against the Detroit Lions. However, Massaquoi insists he was not concussed and was instead pulled from the game for precautionary reasons. Massaquoi has suffered at least two concussions over the course of the last two seasons.

Barbara Bruno of Bleacher Report details why the Browns' new ownership will prove to be the best thing to happen to the franchise in a decade.

The Pittsburgh Steelers made a few roster moves on Tuesday. They activated left tackle Max Starks off of the active PUP list and placed running back John Clay on the waived/injured list. Replacing Clay on the roster is undrafted free agent back Jason Ford, who was most recently in the Houston Texans' training camp.

Bleacher Report's Tim Daniels comments on the possibility that Steelers linebacker James Harrison may have to undergo knee surgery prior to the start of the regular season. Harrison has been held out of training camp with a knee injury.
