Evelyn Lozada Divorce: Reported Split Ends Wild Relationship with Chad Johnson

Evelyn Lozada is reportedly set to file for divorce after Chad Johnson allegedly head-butted her in a domestic abuse case over the weekend, according to Radar Online.

It comes less than six weeks after the couple was married and follows a premarital affair that Johnson allegedly had earlier this year.

Lozada has noted that the marriage is "irretrievably broken," according to TMZ. The couple reportedly had a prenup.

Johnson's offseason has been anything but pleasant. He was cut by the New England Patriots, then cut by the Miami Dolphins within 24 hours of the domestic abuse incident. 

The 34-year-old is a six-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro, but he was never able to get it going with the Patriots last season, finishing with 15 catches for 276 yards and one touchdown. He had one catch for 21 yards in the playoffs.

Chad Johnson's troubles ironically come less than 10 days after another enigmatic receiver, former teammate Terrell Owens, found a home with the Seattle Seahawks.

Johnson was already skating on thin ice when he was cut this offseason and then signed by the Dolphins. After this, it's going to be interesting if another team takes a chance on him, especially because the NFL would likely hand down a suspension to the veteran receiver.

Johnson racked up over 1,000 receiving yards and nine touchdowns as recently as 2009 with the Cincinnati Bengals, but he's failed to impress both on and off the field during the past year.

Johnson has been charged with simple domestic battery, a misdemeanor.
