Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar: Steady Appearances From Beast Boosts Hype For Match

Brian MaziqueJun 5, 2018

If we are going to buy in to how beastly Brock Lesnar still is, it helps to see him on WWE TV regularly. The part-time schedules can easily make you forgot the persona of even the most prominent superstars.

In Lesnar's case, he's been a consistent presence since Raw 1000 and he made quite an impact at Monday Night Raw.

He's turned into an arm-breaking fool as of late, and Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels was his latest victim.

This is done to further draw the ire of Triple H, and to further put over Lesnar as maniacal man to be feared.

Looking the part of a monster definitely helps the cause.

Lesnar looks in better shape each time I see him, and that goes a long way in driving home the beast angle. Against John Cena at Extreme Rules, it was hard not to notice Brock was a little chubby.

As we sit so close to SummerSlam, the Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar match is becoming more and more appealing. Just as WWE planned it of course, but this wouldn't have been the case without Lesnar on screen leading up to it.

It may seem like a pretty simple concept, but it hasn't always been done the right way. Lesnar's appearances were too few and far between leading up to Extreme Rules. In my opinion, the Rock's appearances weren't frequent enough leading up to WrestleMania.

But these are the situations that arise when the main events for pay-per-views feature superstars whose primary commitments aren't to WWE.

The company caught a break with Raw 1000 being so close to SummerSlam. The 1000th show had to be huge, and thus include the likes of Lesnar. This helped string together Lesnar's appearances, and further increase the hype for SummerSlam.
