The Ottawa Senators record their third straight win in a 3-0 shutout of the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

First line centre Jason Spezza picked up two goals, veteran forward Cory Stillman gathered two assists, and goaltender Martin Gerber registered 28 saves in the shutout. Montreal goaltender Carey Price managed 21 saves in the losing cause.

Ottawa Senators captain Daniel Alfredesson returned to the line-up tonight after missing four straight games due to muscle spasms in his back. Alfredsson recorded a single assist in the win.

The win for Ottawa means that Ottawa is now first in the Northeast division, and second in the conference. One point behind the New Jersey Devils.
