Why I Feel ECW Superstar Tyson Kidd Will Make A Huge Impact In The WWE

Joe Burgett Feb 25, 2009

For a while now, I have been the person to come out and say how much I hate a wrestler in the ring. And I have also been known as being the guy to come out and say how much I like a wrestler in the ring.

I wanted to show Bleacher Report these young wrestlers, because it would show them what to look for in the WWE. I wanted Bleacher Report to see what I wrote, and then watch the certain superstar more closely the next time they watch them.

I mean how many of us go out and read something about a certain person or storyline and then watch that certain superstar or wrestler more closely?

I know I do.

And that is just human and perfectly understandable to me. I feel ECW Superstar Tyson Kidd will be that guy to watch.

Kidd has been taking ECW by storm, and I feel he will have the “Bourne effect” on us. We all remember Evan Bourne right? Some call him the unmasked Rey Mysterio.

When Bourne came to ECW we had no idea who he was.

Well most of us didn't.

Some knew him as Matt Sydel before his WWE career. But when Bourne came in, he captured us from his first match. Then we saw his finisher, the Shooting Star Press.

All of us were awed by him, and loved to watch every one of his match. This could be why he was on every single show in the WWE. When Bourne got hurt, he wrestled three days in a row. Bourne wrestled at a PPV, Raw the very next day, and then of course ECW.

Bourne is supposed to be back soon. But when I watch Tyson Kidd, I get that same effect Bourne gave me. He’s a young star who has moves that awe me.

Kidd is lethal with his kicks, and he is not only good at that. He is a brawler and a submissionist too. Just take his match last night on ECW for instance.

And it is not a wonder why he is so well rounded. After all he did train in the Hart Dungeon. Also, he has Natayla as his manager, who also trained there. She was the only female ever to do so.

However, she was sent down to FCW, and was the New Hart Foundation's manager. This team had Kidd and Harry Smith. Smith is set to be called up soon to join up with Legacy. It is not certain when he will, but even Randy Orton said it is happening.

The WWE had the idea of keeping Natalya with Kidd which turned out well. He has her to help out on the outside and we all know she can hold her own.

So with her help and with his skill, it seems he can only do well. Now just like with every new superstar he has his drawbacks.

We saw him debut the night Christian made his return. Not many remember that because it was overshadowed by the Christian return. It was a live show for ECW. WWE puts on live ECW shows every once in a while.

Kidd did miss his finisher in his debut match. It is a springboard elbow drop, as you may know. It’s pretty well known WWE uses camera angles to hide the way superstars land moves.

I saw the camera didn't move and he missed his finisher.

I am not sure that should be a finishing move. Kidd has lethal kicks, but I feel those are not great either. He should try using the Sharpshooter. He has a history with the Hart family.

I feel it is a better finisher than a springboard elbow drop is. Maybe it is just me, but I have heard others agree. Kidd has a load of talent, and does not make many mistakes as far as I can tell.

I feel Kidd could be an ECW Champion soon. I see Tommy Dreamer taking the ECW title from Jack Swagger, and then Kidd taking it from him.

Kidd, although liked, is considered a heel. So having two young heels face off would be a bit weird. I feel a face needs to be involved. ECW should let Tommy Dreamer win the ECW Title and drop it to Kidd.

Kidd will be one of the next big stars not just in ECW, but also in all of WWE.
