Bobby V Talks Sports and the Hottest Olympians: BR5
Welcome to BR5, your daily source for sports and pop culture news.
R&B champion Bobby V was hanging in NYC with BR5’s Desi Sanchez recently. The two caught up to talk about a ton of topics, including Bobby V’s music career, current sports buzz and just about everything in between. In addition to good conversation, Bobby V showed us some of his moves at the bowling alley. Having grown up around sports, Bobby was a total natural at cracking the pins. Naturally, he treated Desi to a quick, impromptu lesson.
Bobby V is an artist that’s been at his craft for quite a while. He was born in Mississippi and his name is Bobby Wilson. He was raised in Atlanta, and at 16 years old he formed Mista with a group of friends. They had some success with their single “Blackberry Molasses,” but ultimately that was the highlight of the group’s run. After the group split, he focused on college, and graduated in 2003. Bobby V’s first major step in the industry came when Ludacris made him the first R&B singer in Luda’s Disturbing the Peace crew.
He’s had more releases since then, and over the years he’s worked with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.
His career continues as Bobby V is releasing a new album on Oct. 2, 2012. Dusk Till Dawn features rapper Lil Wayne, and the album’s single “Mirror” will be released in May of this year.
Needless to say, it was a great time hanging with Bobby, and catching some of his moves on the lanes!
