London 2012 Olympics: Top Medal Events to Watch on Saturday

The 2012 Summer Olympics in London conclude tomorrow, but there are plenty of excellent events that still must have their outcomes determined.

Let’s take a look at some tournaments that will be ending on Saturday that you must watch to see who earns the gold medal.

Women’s Basketball Finals – USA vs. France

Unless the French can perform a miracle, they are going to have to settle for a second-place finish in London.

Team USA has just been far too dominant and absolutely destroying the opposition. Diana Taurasi, Maya Moore and the rest of the women on the roster are playing the best basketball of their lives and are surely going to continue the winning streak that began in the 1992 Olympics for the Americans.

Men’s Soccer – Brazil vs. Mexico

Wembley will be rocking tomorrow as Mexico and Brazil prepare for a showdown with the gold medal on the line.

Brazil is a major favorite to win this contest, as they have a much better roster and more experienced young players.

Mexico will certainly put up a fight, as they have some solid veterans in Oribe Peralta, Jose de Jesus Corona and Carlos Salcido. 

Women’s Volleyballs Finals – USA vs. Brazil

This should be an excellent clash between two of the top teams in the world. Brazil and the U.S. have both carved their way through the tournament and it all comes down to this best of three match.

The women’s volleyball finals is a repeat of Beijing, when the Brazilians overcame the Americans for gold.

Team USA is hoping to change its fortune and get revenge in London.
