Transfer Tracker: Mario Balotelli, Edinson Cavani, Javi Martinez, Craig Bellamy
Another day, another set of rumors—along with bit of news on Robin van Persie.
No, van Persie still hasn't left Arsenal. Yes, there's more to report on that front.
If you're tired of all that (we are), we also have updates on a host of other players. Or, as they're often known as in the transfer window, assets.
It seems Manchester City have turned down offers for one of their prized assets, Chelsea have turned to acquiring a new asset and Athletic Bilbao will keep one their most important assets.
All that and more inside today's B/R Transfer Tracker.
Mancini: We Had Bids for Balotelli
1 of 5Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed that Manchester City rejected offers for Mario Balotelli this summer (ESPNSoccernet).
Balotelli, a 21-year-old Italian striker (he turns 22 on Sunday), seemed to have no future with the club after a red-card incident against Arsenal led to a damaging suspension during last season's title run-in.
Balotelli turned in a breakout performance for Italy at Euro 2012, and despite Balotelli's past disciplinary issues, Mancini has said he would not sell Balotelli now.
"Asked if he considered accepting the offers, he replied: "No, because he is young. We are sure he can improve. We can say Mario did a fantastic European Championship. This is true. If he understands he has all this quality it is important for him to improve his behaviour."

United Sending in Big Guns for RvP?
2 of 5Further negotiations between Arsenal and Manchester United over the potential transfer of Robin van Persie are set for this weekend (Daily Telegraph).
United chief executive David Gill is expected to join the negotiations. It is thought Gill and Ivan Gazidis, his counterpart at Arsenal, could agree to a deal if United increase their bid to more than £20 million.
According to the Telegraph, van Persie would prefer a move to Juventus. Meanwhile, United striker Wayne Rooney has said van Persie would be a "great addition" to the Red Devils' squad (The Independent).
Van Persie, a 29-year-old Dutch striker, scored 30 league goals last season while serving as Arsenal captain.
Chelsea Turn to Cavani?
3 of 5Chelsea have turned their attention to Edinson Cavani after reportedly losing out on Hulk (Daily Star).
Cavani, 25, scored 23 Serie A goals last season for Napoli. The Uruguayan is thought to be available for what the Star calls a "cut price offer" of €35 million.
Martinez Wants Bilbao Stay?
4 of 5Spain international midfielder/defender Javi Martinez wants to stay with Athletic Bilbao, according to one of the player's agents (Goal.com).
Martinez, 23, has been linked with Barcelona and Bayern Munich. But one of his representatives is saying Martinez will only leave if a club puts up the money in his release clause.
"Javi Martinez wants to stay at Athletic Bilbao and the club would only sell for €40 million euros," the agent said.
Martinez has eight senior caps with Spain.
Bellamy to Cardiff Imminent?
5 of 5Welsh winger Craig Bellamy is reportedly set for a return to his homeland.
Bellamy, 33, is expected to complete a move to hometown club Cardiff City imminently (Wales Online).
Bellamy must complete a medical and is expected to accept a "substantial pay cut" to about £35,000 per week (from £90,000).
UPDATE: The deal is done, as per Cardiff City's official website.
