Real Madrid Rumors: Loaning Nuri Sahin Would Be a Smart Move for Spanish Giants

Allowing young star Nuri Sahin to leave Spain on loan would be a smart decision by Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho because the 23-year-old midfielder likely won't have a regular spot in the starting lineup next season.

According to the Daily Mail, a few Premier League teams are interested in Sahin for the 2012-13 season.

Arsenal and Liverpool have both made firm contact with Madrid regarding the future of the Turkey international, who has been told he can quit the Spanish champions.

The issue for Sahin is that Madrid has so many talented midfielders in the squad and not enough spots in the starting XI for each of them to get the playing time they deserve.

Since young attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil and veteran Xabi Alonso are the top choices for Mourinho in the center of the midfield, it's unlikely that Sahin will feature much in the Madrid lineup next season. The Portuguese manager also has Brazilian midfielder Kaka on the bench as a possible replacement for Ozil or Alonso.

Sahin would be wise to push for a loan deal for the upcoming season, or try to secure a permanent move so he can start on a top European club.

He's too talented to sit on the bench and not develop his playmaking and attacking talents. If Mourinho is not willing to give Sahin the proper experience in Spain that he needs, then selling him is the right move for the club and the young star's career.

There's no point in having a world-class talent sitting on your bench when you can fill his spot with a player that may actually see the pitch regularly at a position you don't have a lot of depth in.

Sahin will be a great player for a long time in European club football, but it's hard to see this happening in Spain. A loan move away from the Spanish capital must happen for Sahin to reach his full potential.

Loaning Sahin would be a difficult decision for Madrid, but it's the best move that the club can make for his 2012-13 season.
