Brock Lesnar: 6 Opponents for Him After SummerSlam

David LevinAug 9, 2012

In less than two weeks, we'll all be asking that one important question.

"Who is next for Brock Lesnar?"

While he may not be the "Next Big Thing" anymore, he is still the imposing presence that the WWE had hoped he would be when he appeared from the back on the night after WrestleMania.

However, because Triple H is more corporate than he is performer, and the list of opponents for him is limited unlike his last go around in the WWE, the company needs to find believable talent for Lesnar to face and not make a mockery of someone who shouldn't be in the ring with the beast.

Win or lose at SummerSlam, Lesnar will move forward and Triple H will be back at his desk.

There will be others on the hit list. Here are a few of them.

Sheamus

1 of 6

Whether he holds the world title or not, this could be very good.

The power and strength of Lesnar and the brawling style of Sheamus could lead to a long-standing feud.

The only issue I see is if the world title is at stake. Who will defeat Lesnar once he wins the belt?

Randy Orton

2 of 6

He isn't on here by default.

I like this match.

Both would sell for each other, and both could be a world champion when the feud begins.

Orton needs a challenger to keep him in the hunt for the future.

Lesnar needs someone who is on par with him.

This is a win-win situation.

Ryback

3 of 6

The biggest question is whether or not he is ready for a big program?

Ryback certainly looks the part and acts the part, and we are tired of seeing him beat up Tyler Reks.

Get him some real competition, please.

A feud with Lesnar puts Ryback over. It also puts two huge men in the ring, which we all love.

Wade Barrett

4 of 6

This presents an interesting matchup, but a lot would have to happen for this to occur.

Barrett would have to come back to the company and either play the role of a face or at some point make the switch.

I like the idea of the MMA style wrestler and the bar-brawler meeting head to head.

It could be better than most think.

The Rock

5 of 6

This could lead up to WrestleMania.

We are almost into the fall and winter months, and we are fully aware the smell of WrestleMania 29 will soon be approaching.

There is no build up like last year, so there needs to be a bang—and soon.

And nothing says "bang" quite like Brock Lesnar and the Brahma Bull.

The WWE title could be on the line.

The Undertaker

6 of 6

Same bat time, same bat channel.

This could be the same thing.

Could we see The Dead Man taking on Lesnar?

It may not be the same kind of match as last year, with Triple H and Undertaker, but it could be more brutal.

And we could genuinely ask if 21-0 is attainable with Lesnar in the ring.
