NFC South Morning Jog: LeGarrette Blount Still Starting RB, for Now

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay released its first depth chart of the season. The only real surprise, said a Tampa Tribune report, was that LeGarrette Blount was listed as the first-team running back.

LaVonte David is a quick study at weakside linebacker, according to a Tampa Bay Times article. The coaches have been impressed and he's already listed as the starting Will linebacker on the team's depth chart.

Atlanta Falcons

Matt Ryan completed 16 of 17 passes in a combined scrimmage with the Tennessee Titans on Monday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Carolina Panthers

Wide receiver David Gettis is working on the sideline, according to the Charlotte Observer, but is not yet ready to practice. Ron Rivera is hopeful of Gettis' return by the end of the week.

According to the Times-Picayune, Roger Goodell has offered to cut Jonathan Vilma's suspension in half if Vilma drops his lawsuit against Goodell.
