Tottenham Hotspur Reportedly Make £15M Bid for Leandro Damiao
With Tottenham's forwards only scoring one goal in five preseason matches, Andre Villas-Boas has stepped up his pursuit of Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao.
According to Goal.com, the bid is worth a reported £15 million.
Damiao has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane in the past, but this is the first time Spurs have been this depleted at forward. The only senior striker on the roster is Jermain Defoe, with Louis Saha's contract expiring and Emmanuel Adebayor's financial entanglement with current club Manchester City.

The Brazilian striker has been courted by Juventus in the past and has even said his preference is to play in Serie A.
But, Goal.com went on to report that Tottenham has had a representative at all of Brazil's matches during the Olympics.
Would a permanent reunion with Brazilian teammate Sandro be enough to encourage the 23-year-old Damiao to move to Tottenham? The prospect of having two of Brazil's up-and-coming international talents on the same club team is making mouths water all over north London.
Whatever the course of action, Villas-Boas has made it no secret that he is in the market for a new striker.
Given the kind of transfer action Tottenham has seen in Villas-Boas' short history as manager, and the fact that Levy has given the former Chelsea man a rather sizable "war chest," even if Spurs sign Damiao, they could still be in the market for more players after the Brazilian striker is signed.
