WWE: Stone Cold Steve Austin's 5 Most Memorable Moments

0 of 6

I decided to start a weekly article that features the five most memorable moments of past and present WWE wrestlers. Whether it is a match, promo or significant feud, we will try and come up with the most memorable moments of that specific superstar's career.

These moments have defined the careers of the wrestlers and helped build them into who they are in our eyes.

We will start with arguably the greatest and my second favorite wrestler ever.

5. Beer Truck

There are several things that you think of immediately when I say "Stone Cold Steve Austin." You have his coined phrases, the Stunner and beer.

Austin was the anti-hero who drank beer and flipped off everyone in his path. That included his boss.

One of the most memorable and replayed moments in WWE history is when Austin drove out a beer truck to the ring and sprayed The Corporation. Whenever any of my friends reminisce about Austin and how he was awesome, we always bring up when he drove the beer truck out to the ring.

4. Returned to Save Raw

Recently after the WWF took over the WCW and ECW, they decided to do an Invasion storyline which helped combine the incoming wrestlers. WWF superstars were outnumbered and getting ambushed in the ring and all over.

That was single-handedly turned around by Stone Cold. Austin pulled up in his truck and started clearing house of all the WCW and ECW wrestlers. This was a nice welcome for all of them and it let them know that he is still the alpha male of professional wrestling.

There was never a more popular superstar than Stone Cold Steve Austin was on that night.

3. Wrestlemania 13 vs. Bret Hart

Most superstars have one match that defines their careers. Stone Cold Steve Austin was his "I Quit" match against Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13.

The two wrestled an incredibly entertaining match that had the perfect blend of technical wrestling and brawling. However, the ending is what will always be remembered.

After a long and exhausting match, Hart put a bloody Austin in his patented Sharpshooter. The match was stopped because Austin passed out from blood loss and pain, but he never technically gave up.

Austin's performance in this match caused him to turn from a heel to a face and Hart turned from a face to a heel. This was a huge moment in Austin's career as it was the start of a huge face push.

2. Austin 3:16 Speech

There is a point in each of the top superstars' careers that was the beginning of them becoming a star. There is a memorable moment that helped put them on the grid and let everyone know that these wrestlers were special.

After winning the King of the Ring tournament in 1996, Austin gave a speech that made a statement. He made everyone realize that he is the real deal and is a forced to be reckoned with.

"Austin 3:16" is synonymous with Stone Cold and has become a trademark for the legend. That all started with his speech after the King of the Ring.

Austin was still a heel at the time but would go on to be the biggest fan favorite in WWE history. After the win, Austin said he was going to "start running through" all of the top contenders in the company.  That is exactly what he would go on to do. He claimed his time had come and was he ever right.

1. Feud with Mr. McMahon

5 of 6

People can consider the feud between the Rattlesnake and Mr. McMahon as the greatest or most significant feud in WWE history. That feud was the nucleus of the Attitude Era which is the greatest time in professional wrestling.

There are way too many moments that are memorable from this feud to just narrow it down to one, so I had to put the whole thing as the memorable moment. Any time these two were involved with each other, it was must-see TV.

This feud also got tied in with the biggest names in the business, like Undertaker, The Rock and D-Generation X.
