Dolph Ziggler: Why Is WWE Really Holding Him Back?

Giulio RomanoJun 7, 2018

There is a Superstar in WWE possibly becoming World Heavyweight Champion by year's end.

He is young, brash and cocky. Like Shawn Michaels, he has God-given, pure, natural talent and is already a decorated performer in the ring at 32.

Dolph Ziggler is his name, and now that he holds the MITB briefcase, there is no telling what he can do and at any given moment too.

Still, despite all this, the WWE seems to be putting his pushes on ice every time he is on the verge of getting one. Why is that?

Being held back when you have proven your worth and deserve more is not easy to deal with, but it can also serve to teach someone a valuable lesson: knowing how to be patient.

Few possess that skill in this day and age. So many times there have been Superstars and Divas pushed to the moon so quickly that they quickly fell into an abyss because it was not executed properly.

For those wondering when and where things will really happen to Dolph Ziggler, the answer is: In time!

Other than carefully planning his career path, is there any other valid reason why the company "holds" him back? Perhaps they feel as I do where they are just not so sure about him yet.

For my part, I am actually starting to like him very much. It took a while, but I got there, and with this great program involving Chris Jericho, it only has gotten more interesting.

I hope he waits to cash in his MITB contract. No rush, and when he does, he will win. Maybe he can even become a "babyface" in the process, as no one knows who will be the champion come that time.

You now have some very talented performers on the roster. Key performers that are ready to take up the mantle once the Undertakers, Triple Hs and Brock Lesnars leave.

It's been speculated many times before, but with Dolph, Cody, Miz, Antonio, Damien, Sheamus, Wade, Punk and Bryan on the roster, the future is in more-than-capable hands.

John Cena is still young and strong, but the poster boy cannot be in the main event for a title forever. No one can break Ric Flair's title record, it would be just wrong. A whole life's worth of legacy ruined by bad booking? No way.

Dolph Ziggler is at the right place, right now. The time has finally come, and as luck would have it, many others want to play with him, too.

Maybe his breakout moment will come at SummerSlam. You know, that one move or match that can define a career?

Bret Hart, Randy Savage and Shawn Michaels each had that moment—why not Dolph?

After all, he's here to show the world! He's here to show the world!
