WWE RAW: Complete Preview, Rumors, News and More for August 6
With just two weeks until SummerSlam, the WWE will be pulling out all the stops to ensure that people want to tune into the company’s second-biggest event of the year by making RAW amazing.
Or, at least that’s what they should be planning on.
As much as building these feuds towards the pay-per-view is the right way of doing business, WWE has been all over the board with their programming lately, and the transition to three hours hasn’t helped.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Let’s see if they worked some of the kinks out to make RAW 1,002 better than RAW 1,001.

CM Punk’s Slow-Burn Heel Turn
While it may not have been a full-fledged heel turn yet, that is exactly what the WWE is building towards. If they continue to fuel the heel fire while allowing Punk to play the situation down the middle, fans can expect a big payoff at SummerSlam.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Is WWE really playing this slow?
For years, the WWE Universe has complained about the WWE’s willingness to rush through every storyline. In the last few months and with this Punk story, the company has made a serious effort to slow everything down and stretch it over several shows.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 heel turns
Most fans believe that Punk is a much better heel and his recent actions have been much more interesting that almost anything he did as a face champion. With GM AJ possibly making life tougher, the WWE has so many options with this main event.

SummerSlam Build
With Shawn Michaels being at RAW, the WWE would be wise to allow him to enter the ring and cut one of his mediocre promos that the sheeple eat right up. While in the middle of babbling, Brock Lesnar needs to hit the ring and destroy HBK.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Will WWE make us care more about SummerSlam?
With all the dedicated time and effort in promoting RAW’s 1,000th episode, the company and the fans have almost forgot about SummerSlam. While we all know it is coming and will enjoy it, there has been as much build for this show as there was for Money in the Bank; that’s not good.
Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 terrible buy rates
There is no question that the company’s divided focus over the last two months will hurt the buy rates for the WWE’s second biggest PPV of the year. With interest waning instead of growing, the financial troubles of WWE will be compounded when SummerSlam fails.

Shawn Michaels Appreciation Night
In what has become a steady stream of nostalgia pops since Triple H has gained more power within the WWE, Shawn Michaels' appreciation night is sure to make no one happy; especially considering he was just on TV.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Why do we need more HBK?
The simple answer is that we don’t. The WWE believes that he can help the company sell the PPV coming up, but as he proved when he was the face of the company, Shawn Michaels doesn’t put people in the seats.
Hype Meter: 1 out of 5 Kliq hookups
If it wasn’t for the strings being pulled by Triple H, there is no chance that Vince McMahon would continuously bring back a man that almost let the WWE die. Michaels is the most overrated wrestler in history, and it will be great to see Brock run right through him.
Now that I’ll appreciate.
