Agent: RvP to Juventus a Done Deal

Bizarre news spread across the Internet Wednesday concerning the Robin van Persie transfer saga.

According to FIFA agent Fabio Parisi, who is based in Milan, RvP has already signed a contract with Juventus (Metro):

I think Juventus have had a signed contract with Van Persie for some time locked away in a notary’s desk. It is just my opinion, but I think there’s an eight out of ten chance the Dutchman will join the Bianconeri.

"

Conspiracy theory? Or is it an unlikely but true development in what's been one wearisome saga?

Allen Close to Liverpool Move?

Midfielder Joe Allen is reportedly close to a move from Swansea City to Liverpool (South Wales Evening Post).

Allen, 22, is part of Great Britain's Olympic team. He played for new Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers when Rodgers managed Swansea.

The Evening Post reports Liverpool received permission last month to speak with Allen. A deal is reportedly close, but Swansea and Liverpool must agree on a fee.

Spurs After Stek?

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a bid for AS Roma and Netherlands goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg, according to the Daily Mail.

Stekelenburg, 29, joined Roma from Ajax last summer in a deal worth about €6.3 million (Goal.com). He is thought to be available after a mixed first season and the departure of former manager Luis Enrique.

Roma reportedly want £8 million for the keeper, who played for Holland at Euro 2012.

Spurs were previously linked with French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris this summer (Daily Mail).

Newcastle Improve Bid for Debuchy?

Newcastle United have improved their bid for Lille full-back Mathieu Debuchy, according to the Daily Mirror.

The new offer is around £6 million with unspecified "add-ons." Inter Milan are also thought to be interested.

Debuchy, 27, played for France at Euro 2012. He has earned nine senior caps with Les Bleus.

Cazorla Flying to London?

Malaga midfielder Santi Cazorla will fly to London this week for a medical ahead of a potential move to Arsenal, according to the Daily Mail.

The Mail reports a £17.3 million fee is being discussed.

Cazorla, 27, is thought to be available because of Malaga's financial woes. According to The Guardian, Malaga could be relegated if the club's debts are not settled.

Inter, Napoli Chasing Rossi?

Inter Milan and Napoli are interested in signing Italian forward Giuseppe Rossi from Villarreal, according to Goal.com.

Rossi, 25, spent most of last season sidelined with a knee injury. Villarreal were relegated to Spain's Segunda Division in his absence.

Goal.com speculates that an offer of €7-8 million could be enough for Inter or Napoli.
