Tennessee Football: Fan Video for Alabama Rivalry Joins Other Video Debacles
The advent of YouTube and social media has given college football fans a voice unlike ever before.
The Internet, as a whole, thanks them for it.
But sometimes, videos are better left unpublished.
Just this summer, we have had TCU sing "Call Me Maybe," Tennessee put its own twist on it with "Vol Me Maybe" and Texas A&M produce "Aggie Swag" and the "Welcome to the SEC" videos.
A new video tops them all (h/t Clay Travis of OutKickTheCoverage.com).
In preparation for Tennessee's traditional "Third Saturday in October" rivalry game versus Alabama, Elevated released a music video on YouTube titled "Overcome The Tide."
I give it an "A" in the creativity department.
It's an original song, which already puts it above anybody covering Carly Rae Jepsen. Plus, I certainly couldn't put two notes together on any instrument, much less write and perform an entire song.
But it's the execution that will undoubtedly land this video in the same conversation as those previously mentioned Internet debacles.
What do you think, Vol fans? Do you like the song, or do you wish that it would disappear off the Internet forever?
