The thought of the end of his college career hadn’t dawned on Abrams yet. Of course, how could it for a jackrabbit who spends his time rushing from one spot on the court to another but was deadlegged against the Aggies?

Consider that he has played every minute of 11 of his team’s 25 games, including four of the past five. The rest? He’s been a real slacker, averaging about 38 minutes.

While his NBA chances are as small as his sub-6-foot frame—none of the mock NBA draft lists include him in their two projected rounds—that shouldn’t diminish in the least what he has accomplished on this stage.

I believe they are as talented as Oklahoma, but are so hungry and angry about the way OU got to the title game last season, they’re taking it to the title game. What do you think?

Tim Griffin: I’ve got Texas as my favorite over the Sooners at this point heading into spring ball. My major reasons are Oklahoma’s rebuilding offensive line and new safeties and Texas’ hunger after how last season played out.

I think these are the major contributing factors that make me rank them a little ahead of the Sooners.
