Olympic Tennis 2012 TV Schedule: Match Times for Roger Federer
Roger Federer is into the third round of the singles and the second round of the Olympic doubles with fellow countryman, Stanislas Wawrinka.
Today, August 1, will see these two matches played in London.
Tune into the Bravo network, where you can see the Swiss Maestro attempt to make history.
Starting at 7:00 A.M. (Eastern Standard Time) Roger will take to Court 1 to face Denis Istomin from Uzbekistan, who nearly lost to Gilles Muller in his previous encounter.
These two players have never faced each other before and were one match away from meeting at the 2012 Wimbledon Championships (though Mikhail Youzhny won in five sets to book a meeting with Federer instead).
After that match wraps up, Roger will have time to rest before going back out to Court 18 to compete as the sixth-seeded doubles team with Stan the Man.
The duo will face the Israeli team of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram (both of whom are, in fact, older than Roger Federer).
The Israeli players won their first match in two tiebreak sets against Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez of Spain while the Swiss team had a tougher time moving on.
They had to recover after dropping the opening set to Kei Nishikori and Go Soeda.
The Swiss-Israeli showdown will commence at 2:00 P.M. assuming the weather will permit it.
