It appears as though the Vikings are looking to bring back 11-year veteran Matt Birk. His agent has told reporters, that the Vikings and Birk, are close to a deal.
Matt Birk has been with the Vikings since his career began, back in 1998. His six Pro Bowls are very respectable. He is also eligible to win the NFL Man of the Year award.
Jabari Greer likely out of Buffalo?
27-year old cornerback Jabari Greer will likely have a new team in 2009. Buffalo seems to be content with letting him leave for another team.
He had a disappointing season last year, with only two interceptions and 37 tackles. Despite the bad numbers, he will be one of the hotter commodities on the market.

Ray Lewis: Going to the Cowboys?
Linebacker, DeMarcus Ware told reporters that the Cowboys are a likely candidate to sign free-agent linebacker, Ray Lewis.
Ray Lewis told several Cowboys players that he would love to come play for "America's Team." Ray will likely not go for the money, just the place where he is most likely to win a Super Bowl.
A linebacking core that consists of Greg Ellis, Zach Thomas, Ray Lewis, and DeMarcus Ware would likely be one of the better groups in the league.
Giants expected to release Wide Receiver Plaxico Burress?
Apparently, when you shoot yourself in the leg, you also shoot yourself in the foot, if you know what I mean.
New York appears to be done with their locker-room distraction, Plaxico Burress. After finding out that he's been sued many times, and has several more lawsuits on his hands, the Giants want no part of it.
"I hope he's motivated, but the legal process is what's important right now, and his health is what's most important," GM Jery Reese said when asked about the situation.
Jerry Porter to return to his former team?
Oakland seems to be desperate for wide receiver help. After a year with Jacksonville, Jerry Porter was released after a pathetic season.
He left on good terms with the Raiders, and they have heavy interest in bringing him back to start. If they do get him, don't expect Javon Walker to remain on the team.
