Missy Franklin Wins Bronze in First London 2012 Event, How Soon Until Gold?
Maybe the only swimming story bigger than Michael Phelps vs. Ryan Lochte entering the 2012 Olympics was 17-year-old Missy Franklin.
Franklin, who still competed for her high school this season, swam her first Olympic race today with a lot of pressure on her shoulders.
Entered in seven London events, Franklin has been called the "Female Phelps." That's a lot of pressure for someone not yet even 18.
So, how did Franklin fair? And, how many golds will she rack up before it's all said and done?
Two-time gold-medalist Mel Stewart from SwimSwam.com is here to break it down.
