TNA Impact! Wrestling Scores Its Highest Summer Series Rating
After two consecutive weeks of sluggish ratings due to the DirecTV and Viacom problems, TNA Impact! Wrestling is finally getting some good news. As a matter of fact, the news is extremely welcoming.
The July 26th edition of Impact! Wrestling scored TNA its highest summer series rating (via TV By the Numbers).
Impact! was watched by over 1.5 million people—up by over 200,000 viewers from last week's edition—and after two straight weeks, TNA finally made the Top 50 Cable TV list.
My Quick Take
Finally, a rating result TNA deserves. It was quite clear that having DirecTV customers watching helped spike the ratings column.
Impact! has been a drastically better program to watch throughout the summer but was losing ground in the ratings department. After weeks of struggling to gain anything over a 1.0 mark, TNA is finally gaining some ground, as this week's numbers show the company is heading in the right direction.
Next week's Impact! ratings will show whether TNA can hold on to its momentum.
How Many Viewers for Next Week's Show?
In my prediction, I think TNA will see another rise in the ratings.
I believe the company is doing things correctly and gaining trust with fans once again. The product is very solid at the moment, and I look for Impact! to score around 1.6 million viewers next week.
