Arsenal Transfer News: Tracking All the Latest Rumors and Updates

Dan TalintyreJun 5, 2018

Arsenal’s summer transfer window has been up and down so far. The arrival of both Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud is a positive sign, but the potential departure of star striker and captain Robin van Persie is not.

Regardless of what happens with RVP, expect the Gunners to continue to be a dominant force in the transfer window right up until the start of the English Premier League season.

The team have been linked to a number of players and are believed to be interested in several more, so for all your latest Arsenal transfer news and rumors, you’ve come to the right spot.

Read on to see who could be coming to the Emirates this summer.

Santi Cazorla

Malaga winger Santi Cazorla is rumored to be interested in leaving the club this summer.

The Spanish outfit simply don't have enough money to pay their players, meaning that players like Cazorla are looking elsewhere ahead of the upcoming year.

The latest development is that Malaga have rejected a £15.6 million bid by Arsenal.

Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini told the club's official website (via Goal.com):

"At the moment, we’ve been offered 20 million euros for Santi Cazorla; selling him for this amount of money is practically giving him away."

Robin van Persie

Manchester City are believed to be making little progress in the race to sign Robin van Persie.

Citizens boss Roberto Mancini recently dismissed questions surrounding a potential move for the Dutch striker, admitting that he is not in charge of transfers at the club (via Goal.com).

Meanwhile, Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood insists that Van Persie will not be sold for less than he is worth, should the club sell him this summer (via Goal.com).

Victor Wanyama

Arsenal are believed to have joined Manchester United, Stoke City and Queens Park Rangers in the race to sign Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama (via the Daily Mail).

Latest reports indicate that scouts from all four clubs watched the 21-year-old in Celtic's preseason match against Norwich earlier in the week, hinting that he wants to make a move to the English Premier League.

Wanyama is currently valued at around £7 million.

Nicklas Bendtner

Arsenal reject Nicklas Bendtner has also been linked with a move this summer.

The Danish striker is understood to be attracting interest from Celta Vigo, who join both AC Milan and Galatasaray in the race to sign the forward (via the Daily Mail).

Bendtner, 24, is believed to have fallen out of favor with manager Arsene Wenger.

He was sent out on loan to Sunderland last season, but a more permanent deal is expected to take place over this year's summer transfer window.

Tomas Rosicky

Tomas Rosicky is also in the Arsenal news this week with reports emerging that he will not be healthy for the start of the upcoming English Premier League season (via Sky Sports).

The Czech Republic midfielder reportedly picked up an injury against Greece at the recent 2012 European Championships, and an operation on his Achilles is needed, which will sideline him for at least two months.

Thierry Henry

Wrapping up our Arsenal transfer news for the week is Gunners legend Thierry Henry, who has refused to rule out another return to the Emirates, should the opportunity arise (via Sky Sports).

The 34-year-old has confirmed that he is interested in making a move back to Arsenal, regardless of whether that is on loan as a player or a more permanent move as a player manager or striker coach.

Either way, Gunners fans would be more than happy to see Henry back in Arsenal colors.
