WWE Takes An Unusual Twist In Storyline! (Humor/Fantasy)

JFeb 20, 2009

I was looking through some of my recent articles and realised I've been far too serious lately, so decided to do a humor/fantasy piece on potential funny or just weird storylines.

In no respect do I think these storylines will happen, I just thought I'd let my mind wander into a bizarre place and see what it dredged up.

Here is some of the stuff I came up with:

TOP NEWS

WRESTLING: OCT 02 AEW Dynamite/Rampage Pittsburgh
Monday Night RAW

Santino becomes WWE Women’s Champion

Santino jokingly made a comment a few weeks ago that he had his eyes on the WWE Women’s Championship, but what if he wasn’t joking?

After Beth Phoenix regains her women’s title Santino gets extremely jealous, and decides to buy himself a replica belt from WWEShop.com (good excuse for shameless plugging on WWE’s part). Santino knew he would never receive official acceptance as a competitor for the title, so claims this is the only way he would be able to get his hands on the title.

After a couple of weeks parading the title round (and possibly cross dressing) the fans start getting behind Santino, and start chants proclaiming him as the true champion. Beth gets ever more infuriated and turns on Santino attacking him backstage.

The two decide to settle the matter with a title unification match at the next PPV in a ladder match (a la Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon at Wrestlemania X with the Intercontinental Championship), which Santino wins, ushering in a new era for the WWE Women’s Championship.

Priceless turn gay

After Randy Orton wins the title at Wrestlemania 25 Legacy paint the town red and have more than their fair share of beers. The following night on RAW the team look slightly worse for ware, but other than that it’s business as usual.

Following a few weeks of pretty standard episodes of RAW Cody Rhodes approaches Ted DiBiase behind Randy Orton’s back. He says he's been receiving messages and phone calls from an anonymous source claiming to have some dirt on the two.

On the following weeks RAW Cody receives a phone call while with his Legacy teammates which Randy Orton answers for him. Randy figures something isn’t right so orders his group out to the ring.

After explaining what happened to the crowd Randy calls out this mystery source, and tells them to get to the ring if they have anything to say. Following a moderate wait Hardcore Holly appears on the Titantron, and reveals a video he shot the night of Wrestlemania 25.

Holly shows the tape which starts off innocently enough with Cody and Ted arriving home from a night out. It progresses with the two becoming ever friendlier under they can contain their feelings no more, and embrace each other in sexual harmony.

May I just quickly point out I have no idea how the WWE think these kind of videos are believable (e.g. the Edge and Alicia Fox video), but they do.

Randy stands astonished in the ring. The two other Legacy members simply stare at each other, until slowing they converge, and kiss once more. Randy leaves the ring not knowing what to say. He later quits the WWE and joins and joins a monastery, letting Hardcore Holly get revenge on the WWE by turning their top star into a recluse.

Matt Hardy kills Jeff Hardy at Wrestlemania 25

Following the incident at the Royal Rumble and the ongoing “accidents” that have happening to Jeff, the two brothers decide to settle their score at Wrestlemania (as may actually happen).

In the promos building up to Wrestlemania 25 the two begin trying to settle the argument by bragging, trying to claim who is the best by the naming the stunts they have pulled off. Eventually an idea hits SmackDown! GM Vickie Guerrero (a rare occurrence) to make the match at Wrestlemania 25 a “Best Move Wins” match, in which the winner is decided by the crowd (by volume of their cheers or something) for the best move performed in the match. It is no disqualification, anything goes, with a one hour time limit with the winner to be decided at the end.

On the night of the match expectations are high, the brothers have been growing ever more enraged with each other, and nobody has any idea what will happen.

The match gets underway in what can only be described as a brawl, both brothers trying to land heavy punches on one another. The blows soon begin to take affect after a short period of time and the match becomes more stereotypical.

Both Hardy’s pull off some decent in ring moves but nothing to get the crowd excited, so Matt decides to takes things further. After hitting Jeff over the head with a chair he places him on an announce table and sets up a huge ladder in the ring.

After scaling the ladder Matt decides it’s too much of a risk to jump and goes back down outside the ring. He gives Jeff another chair shot for good measure then grabs Jerry Lawler, and tosses him into the ring. Matt forces King up the ladder as hurls him off in Jeff’s direction, only to see Jeff roll out the way and King take a pretty heavy impact.

Jeff gets on top of the match dealing a few blows to his brother and decides to attempt a huge move of his own. Jeff puts Matt into a similar position that he put him in and tries to get into the ring onto a ladder.

Jeff is still pretty weary due to his beat down earlier in the match so Matt has time to get up and catch him at the top of the ladder. A slight struggle ensues until Jeff pulls Matt onto his back and Swanton Bombs down through the remaining announce table using Matt as a human crash mat.

The crowd goes wild. The two don’t move for several minutes and nobody has any idea if either man will get up before the time elapses.

Jeff staggers up the entrance ramp to get away from Matt feeling he has the match won, but Matt is not finished just yet. He gets up and follows Jeff to the Titantron, and they exchange blows at the top of the ramp.

After landing a few moves on Jeff, Matt takes control, and drags Jeff over to the edge of the stage. Matt throws Jeff off into a lighting rig and he is electrocuted to death. Matt is soon arrested and the wrestling world is shocked.

It could be a death like Vince McMahon seems to have every month, I'm not implying wrestlers should actually start killing each other.

I know some of these are a little bizarre but I thought I’d offer a different angle to the world of pro wrestling. Sorry if any of this offends anyone, I don’t really want this stuff to happen. I did however quite like the idea for the Matt vs. Jeff match stipulation.

What do you think to my storylines?
