Jimmie Johnson and Team 48 in Need of Motivation?

In this week's Scene, there was a little, tiny article written by Jared Turner entitled "No. 48 team has it all—except slogan". The article questioned if Jimmie Johnson and team 48—with their three championships in a row—could even be hungry enough to make a fourth run at the Sprint Cup.

The article went on to wonder if the Lowes group might just need some sort of slogan or mantra to get them motivated for their challenging 2009 season. 

The slogan suggestions in the article incorporated "four" of course, including possibilities like "Four Score" and "Four on the Floor." The latter slogan would signify those four huge Cup trophies on the floor of their race team headquarters.

When asked about the need for a slogan, Chad Knaus, Johnson's crew chief, was quoted as saying, "It's not something you can just make up and force on everybody; it's something that's got to happen and everybody buys into, so we will just have to wait and see what it is".

Well, Chad, your wait is over.  And this comes at an especially good time, with the somewhat abysmal run that team 48 had at the Daytona 500.

The good and creative writers of the Bleacher Report NASCAR page will most surely come up with your special motivational slogan to take you to that truly hallowed fourth championship ground.

And then there are the eternal words of Elvis Presley's song "Blue Suede Shoes" that could just be the best slogan of all for Team 48:

Well, its one for the money,
Two for the show,
Three to get ready,
Now go, cat, go!
