WWE Raw 1000: Daniel Bryan Versus Charlie Sheen, the Match No One Wants to See

Luis CamposJun 5, 2018

After first learning that Charlie Sheen had left Twitter, I must admit that I was quite surprised when I saw him pop up (via Skype) on the 1000th episode of Raw.

His performance on the show was okay. It was obvious that a lot of his lines were being fed, but at least he didn't make a huge faux pas—like calling SummerSlam, SummerFest.

As a one time thing, I can honestly say that I didn't mind having Charlie Sheen around. I don't think he deserved to be part of the historic 1000th episode, but given the other awesome events that surrounded the night, I don't think he took much from it.

One thing did bother me about the his presence and that was his verbal jabs at WWE superstar Daniel Bryan, after the former World Heavyweight Champion called him out.

From the looks of it seems that the WWE is trying to set up a feud between these two men at SummerSlam.

The WWE is no stranger to having celebrities enter the ring, but is this really the best direction for Bryan's career?

As for Sheen, it is obvious that he has no wrestling experience. Seeing him in the ring could be just as bad, if not worse, than seeing Jay Leno in the ring (though never as bad as having David Arquette win the Heavyweight Championship).

In the end, I could see this transitioning into a "I pick a guy to fight for me match," in which Sheen finds a superstar to wrestle for him while he stands in that superstars corner (much like Wolverine did with Zack Ryder last year), but even that seems silly.

For the sake of Raw's next 1000 episodes, let's hope this match never happens.
