MLB.com Gives Bad News, Jersey Shore's Snooki to Feature in Original Programming
Snooki is coming to MLB.com just enough to strike fear in the hearts of those who would rather keep the Jersey Shore away from the national pastime.
MLB.com reports that Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi will have a part in a new upcoming program:
"Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, from the MTV shows "Jersey Shore" and "Snooki & JWOWW," will visit New York's Citi Field on Monday night before the Mets host the Nationals.
Polizzi, a Mets fan, will come with her fiancé, Jionni LaValle, to tape segments for an upcoming MLB.com original program, which will debut nationally in August.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Really, you could read whatever you want to in that report. Snooki may have a small part as merely a fan of the N.Y. Mets, or she could very well feature prominently in some series hitting us all shortly.
My question is simple and really needs to be answered.
Did anyone ask for this?
There are a flood of other personalities, fans and aspiring sports minds who want to make a splash. I wonder if MLB got its lines crossed in thinking Mets fans craved more Snooki.
I could be wrong, and I welcome you Snooki apologists to set me right, but I can't imagine being comfortable with any amount of Jersey Shore leaking onto baseball coverage.
Again, my hope is she is merely featured in a short spot as she and her fiance take in a game.
However, I know better, and I don't put anything past a reality-TV-mad world.
Stay clear of the Mets game on Monday night. Take in some theater, read a book or just record it so you can fast forward through the Snooki part.
Because we don't need her near our baseball.
