Manchester United Transfer News: Red Devils Warned off Move for Moussa Dembele

Manchester United have been warned off a move for Fulham midfielder Moussa Dembele, with the Cottagers stating that they will not accept any bids for Dembele or American striker Clint Dempsey over the summer transfer window.

The Belgian international was touted as a potential transfer signing for the Red Devils, should they fail to sign Lucas Moura from Sao Paulo, following his strong year for Fulham.

According to The People (via The Daily Mirror), United have made thier interest clear, and are looking to sign Dembele in the summer transfer window:

Manchester United have stepped up their interest in Fulham's Moussa Dembele and believe they can land the Belgian star before the start of the season.

It is believed that Fulham are aware of Sir Alex Ferguson's desire to sign Dembele, who shone for Fulham last season after being moved from a second striker's role into the centre of midfield.

However, according to ESPN Soccernet, Fulham will not accept a bid from any club for Dembele—regardless of the size and the club that an offer is coming from.

"Fulham have nothing to say on either player [Moussa Dembele or Clint Dempsey] other than no bids would be welcomed for any of our players.

"There are no current bids, and none would be welcome..."

That would seemingly end United's chase for Dembele as they seek to boost their midfield for the upcoming English Premier League season.

The Red Devils will continue their pursuit of Lucas Moura, with the latest on the possible transfer being that, while they remain interested in signing the youngster, no deal has taken place between the two parties.
