Manchester United: Sir Alex Ferguson Is Interested in Lucas Moura, Deal Not Done
The Lucas Moura transfer saga has had more twists and turns than an M. Night Shyamalan movie.
Whilst the above headline may not exactly come as a surprise to many Manchester United fans, for those who have doubted the club's interest in the Sao Paulo phenom Lucas Moura, humble pie must now be eaten.
Speaking to reporters in China—where the club are currently preparing for a preseason friendly with local club Shanghai Shenhua—United manager Sir Alex Ferguson wasn't afraid to address the most persistent rumour currently swirling around the Red Devils.

Yesterday, the Daily Mirror reported that United had agreed to terms with Sao Paulo, leaving personal terms and agent's fees the only stumbling blocks that might prevent the transfer.
Sir Alex, however, was quick to squash the report (via Manutd.com).
"We haven't reached an agreement for the player. We've shown an interest but until such time that we get a deal agreed we can't say he's our player," he said.
Having already completed the signings of Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell, Sir Alex added: "We're trying hard to bring other players to the club."
Lucas is currently in Britain gearing up for the upcoming Olympic soccer tournament, where the player is tipped to star for Brazil.
He has been heralded by pundits as a future star for Brazil—his signature pursued long before this current transfer window opened.
The attacking midfielder has appeared 15 times for the national team and has scored 26 goals in 104 games at club level.
With the start of the Premier League season less than a month away, United fans can expect the headlines linking the club with some of world football's top players to continue.
Finding the truth in the tabloids will be a different matter.
