Fantasy Baseball: Reds' Homer Bailey Is Red Hot
Homer Bailey is 9-6 on the year with a 3.74 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP. He isn’t racking up the strikeouts with 88 in 120-1/3 innings of work. Lately he has been red hot though, tossing four straight quality starts.
During that stretch Bailey has been nearly untouchable, winning all four of his starts while recording a 1.76 ERA, a 0.98 WHIP and an improved strikeout rate with 27 in 30-2/3 innings. He has taken down the Dodgers, Padres, Cardinals and Brewers. July really has been his month.
Aside from a dismal June, when Bailey posted a 6.00 ERA in 27 innings, 2012 has been a successful one for him. His April and May ERAs were 3.60 and 3.82 respectively.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Bailey has done his best work away from home. He is 3-4 with a 4.58 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP. He has been a different pitcher on the road though, with a 6-2 record, a 2.93 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP. Aside from a shelling at Milwaukee's Miller Park (14.73 ERA in 3-2/3 innings) he has had a lower ERA in every park than his 4.58 home mark.
Bailey is owned in a little over a quarter of ESPN and Yahoo! fantasy leagues. With the success he has had that number should increase dramatically. His next start is on the road against the Astros.
It’s a good time to add him to your fantasy staff, if nothing else as a streaming option.
