WWE Raw 1000: Top 5 Superstars Who Should Confront Heath Slater
Since the start of an angle in which legends have appeared during his promos, Heath Slater has received an increased level of interest by many.
During this angle, we have seen the likes of Vader, Sycho Sid, Doink, DDP, Bob Backlund and Rikishi. Although most of them are great choices, the WWE needs a big payoff at the 1000th episode of Raw to satisfy the anticipation leading to this monumental episode.
Here are five superstars that would fulfil that payoff and leave us with a memorable moment on Raw.
5. Ultimate Warrior
1 of 5Although he has reportedly declined invitations to the WWE Hall of Fame, been involved in riotous public-speaking encounters and zany videos bashing Hulk Hogan, the Ultimate Warrior would bring a good taste of nostalgia to Raw 1000.
Yes, the look is almost completely different, and the run would be much slower, but the music is still the same.
4. Bret Hart
2 of 5Bret Hart was very instrumental to the success of Monday Night Raw.
Throughout the mid-1990s, he was one of the main faces of each episode.
An appearance at Raw 1000 would be a fitting way to pay homage to the "Excellence of Execution." A few punches on Slater and a Sharpshooter would garner some good pops.
3. Steve Austin
3 of 5A mudhole stomp, Thesz press and Stone Cold Stunner is all we need to see from Stone Cold Steve Austin to receive an enormous pop during Heath Slater's segment.
Although watching the legends wrestle has added to the nostalgia of their returns, Austin doesn't need to do that for his return to go over.
2. The Rock
4 of 5Since the day after WrestleMania 28, The Rock has been talking about his quest to once again become WWE champion.
He has already confirmed (via WrestleNewz.com) that he will return at Raw 1000. Therefore, having a short match against Heath Slater wouldn't hurt.
Afterwards, he can grab a mic and announce that he will be competing at SummerSlam against the winner of the Cena/CM Punk match.
1. Undertaker
5 of 5There are two different kinds of Undertaker marks—those who believe that the Undertaker should only wrestle at WrestleMania, and those who believe that the Undertaker should wrestle more often than WrestleMania.
No matter what, someone is going to be displeased.
So why not have him wrestle a short match against Heath Slater?
He will not be involved in anything storyline-wise until next year, so this would be the perfect place for him to return, and the biggest payoff for the legends angle.
What are your thoughts? What return other than the ones I mentioned would give the legends angle a big payoff? Comment civilly below.
