Golfers to Watch
Adam Scott, 9:30 a.m. ET tee time
Adam Scott’s play in Lancashire has been mesmerizing thus far.
While most players have opted for cautious play, Scott has gone with a cavalier strategy and leads the tournament in driving distance and birdies.
He has avoided bunkers, sunk putts and currently sits in the lead with a score of 11 under.
His lead may be insurmountable at this point and his stunning performance is likely to continue on Sunday.
Brandt Snedeker, 9:20 a.m. ET tee time
Brandt Snedeker played perfectly for the first 36 holes and did not have a single bogey.
But he struggled on Saturday, failing to hit par on six holes and finished the round at three over.
He now sits in a tie with Graeme McDowell for second place with a score of seven under.
Snedeker’s ability to bounce back and return to the form he was at before the weekend will be one of the major storylines during the tournament's closing stanza.
Tiger Woods, 9:20 a.m. ET tee time
Regardless of Tiger Woods’ position on the leaderboard, he is always one of the golfers to watch.
He proved that with a spectacular shot on the 18th hole at the end of the second round. He failed to carry momentum from that highlight through to the third round, finishing even on the day.
His overall score remained at six under, and he will have his work cut out for him as he attempts to chase down Scott.
But Woods, more than any other player, has a flare for the spectacular. He will likely be involved if there is any drama down the stretch.
