Charles Barkley Would Appreciate If Brandi Chastain Took Her Shirt Off

Charles Barkley wins quote of the day as he puts in a special request of Brandi Chastain at the American Century Golf Championship at Lake Tahoe. 

The celebrity golf tournament is back to give us all a respite from things that are far too serious in the form of wild antics that will make you chuckle. 

Our host in all the madness seems to be Barkley, a man who will make you laugh right after he has you on the floor because of his golf swing. 

Joe Proudman of The Tahoe Daily Tribune (h/t NBC Sports) reports from the links as Barkley shouted out to a fellow former athlete who was taking in some golf. 

According to Proudman, Barkley started the day off red hot, stating the following to course marshal Norm Green.

Oh (crap), you're still alive. That's a miracle. Every year I come here I'm just shocked you're still alive.

"

It may not be a chip-in from 30 yards out, but still a great jab. 

The best was his reported exchange with former Women's Team USA soccer star Brandi Chastain. 

"

Always looking good Brandi, why don’t you take your top off?

"

As a poster on NBC Sports duly notes, this is a reference to this grand moment when Chastain ripped off her kit after scoring on China to win the 1999 World Cup. 

I'm guessing she would have to hit a mighty great shot for rerun of that moment. I say keep a mic and camera on Barkley at all times.
