Alex KayJun 6, 2018

The 2012 Summer Olympics will start off with a massive bang when director Danny Boyle launches his epic opening ceremony on Friday.

It’s taken countless hours and a cast and crew of more than 10,000 people to put together this insane event, which will be witnessed by an estimated one billion people around the world via television.

However, even more will be able to tune in and be part of history, as the opening ceremonies will be available on live stream this year.

If you want to be one of the numerous viewers for this event but do not have the option of a television or do not want to use one, here are the numerous ways to catch the epic action.

Where: The Olympic Stadium, East London, England

When: Friday, July 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET

Watch: NBC

NBCOlympics.com should have all of your live stream needs covered, but both YouTube channels offer an alternative for those that prefer not to or cannot access the NBC website.

This is definitely an event you do not want to miss, as it should last more than three hours and is titled “Isles of Wonder”, reportedly drawing inspiration from William Shakespeare’s The Tempest.

The set will open with a huge scale mock up of the British countryside, features a parade of athletes from 204 countries and ends with Sir Paul McCartney performing.

While the opening ceremony is hardly the most competitive aspect of the Olympics, it is certainly one of the most entertaining, and you will not want to miss a single minute.
