Manchester United Transfer Rumours: Robin Van Persie Would Make Man U Unbeatable

Sir Alex Ferguson can never be accused of subtlety, especially when it comes to the subject of Manchester United. He is so confident, in fact, that he is reportedly telling people that Robin Van Persie will join the Red Devils. 

According to the Daily Mirror, Ferguson believes that Van Persie has Manchester United at the top of his list this transfer season.

Ferguson is understood to have told footballing friends he believes van Persie will be moving to Old Trafford, despite the interest of money-bags Premier League champions Manchester City and Italian league winners Juventus.

Just the tandem of Van Persie and Rooney would be good enough to win a majority of matches in Champions League action. 

When you look at what the addition of Van Persie would mean to an already loaded Manchester United roster, it is scary. This squad is trying all it can to prove that Manchester City's recent triumph in the Premier League was just a one-time thing. 

The Red Devils have been exploring all their options this season to upgrade their offensive attack. Van Persie's incredible striking skills make him the perfect fit for Manchester United. A second-place finish in the EPL might be the best thing that ever happened to Man U. 

If Ferguson is telling the truth, the Red Devils are in fantastic shape heading into Champions League action. Van Persie is the dynamic, attacking scorer that will put Manchester United head and shoulders above everyone else.
