British Open Live: Complete Streaming Guide to Action from Royal Lytham

Brian MaziqueJun 4, 2018

So much for the super-tough course at Royal Lytham & St.Annes. Quite a few players came out early on Thursday and shot notable scores. Among them was Tiger Woods, who shot an impressive 67 for three-under par.

But that was only good for a tie for fourth place as Adam Scott has had the best day.

He put up a blistering six-under 64 and is the current leader. It looks as if this Open Championship will be a thrilling tournament that comes down to the end.

It adds to the excitement when multiple players are playing well. A challenging course is one thing, but when it's a competition that comes down to who can salvage the most from a train wreck of errors, it takes something away from the experience.

If you are unable to catch the action on ESPN, it is available via online live stream at The Open Championship's official website. You can catch the entire event there, as well as recaps of each day.

If you're in the United States, the coverage begins at 4 am ET and continues throughout the day.

Here are the players to watch for Round 2:

Tiger Woods

Woods is definitely playing well and is in striking distance of the leader. He sits only three strokes back, but he must maintain consistency and avoid the bad day that has derailed him at times this year.

It's very early, but he is in very good position to win.

Bubba Watson

Watson is finally playing well again, and it's the first time I've seen him look confident since his Masters win. If he continues to play controlled and confident, he'll be in the hunt through the second day of the tournament.

Ernie Els

Els was very solid today. He also finished at three-under 67, and he looks to be a serious threat this year. It's been 10 years since he won a major, and his last one came in The Open Championship.

If he can continue his mastery of the par fours on the course, he should be in the picture throughout. He birdied on parred each of the par four holes in the first round.
