And, if that doesn't do it for you, then how about some timely confirmation from ESPN's Chris Broussard via Twitter:

After months of hearing Howard would only commit to Brooklyn, his stance has finally changed.

When the Nets sealed Howard's fate by locking Brook Lopez into a long-term contract, Dwight Howard has been forced to reconsider his options.

According to Jarrod Rudolph, a columnist for RealGM, not only is Howard excited to join the Lakers, he has committed to signing a contract extension via Twitter:

"

Sources: Dwight Howard is ready to join Lakers. If traded to Los Angeles Howard will re-sign long-term with team after 2012-13 season.

This was also tweeted and confirmed by Royce Webb of ESPN:

"

The moment is finally here Lakers fans, the moment you have all been waiting for!

It was reported early Wednesday that Andrew Bynum would be open to signing a long-term contract should he be traded to Cleveland. The pieces have fallen into place.

As tweeted by Sam Amico of FoxSportsOhio:

"

Andrew Bynum said to be willing to extend with Cavs, Lakers think Dwight Howard would stay. But can deal be made? Link: tinyurl.com/6pe4p7g

It is time to start dreaming again. Champagne filled locker rooms, summer parades and an NBA championship are all within grasp.

Superman is coming in for a landing, Showtime is near!
