WWE News: Backstage Concern over Triple H & Brock Lesnar Feud

Voodoo MagicJun 7, 2018

It has been reported on Wrestlezone (via F4W) that there is a lot of backstage concern over the pending Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar feud:

"

F4Wonline.com is reporting that there's a lot of concern from those backstage in WWE about the Brock Lesnar versus Triple H storyline going forward.

The worry is that since Lesnar hasn't been on television in several months, and the storyline hasn't been addressed consistently, that the interaction the two have at the 1000th Raw might not go off as well as WWE wants.

"

To anyone following WWE recently, it's not like this revelation should be a big surprise.

Having Lesnar be off TV for so long (after having done so little when he was around) was never going to help build this feud. Mainly because there are likely certain members of WWE's viewership that might believe that Lesnar actually has quit the company.

Why would they believe this?

Well, for one thing, when someone claims they're quitting and then disappears, even those completely in the loop as to the workings of the business have to be at least a little skeptical, especially when Lesnar's "I'm a legit bad man" promo gimmick was hijacked by the Big Show.

Even if everyone knows that Lesnar is just biding his time so he doesn't waste his dates, the fact is that he hasn't exactly been a model employee since coming back, including showing up at a UFC event and interacting with Dana White while on the payroll.

It makes sense that this feud might not be going in the direction that WWE wants it to, since Lesnar hasn't been around to promote it.

If Heyman were showing up every week to interact with Triple H, then that might change things, but Heyman's appearances (while awesomely entertaining) have been few and far between.

At best, Triple H and Brock Lesnar's confrontation next week is going to be awkward, at worst it'll be a complete flop with the fans.

If the angle starts to flop, will WWE pull the plug on the storyline (and perhaps on Lesnar)? What do you think?
