The People Who Are Happiest That Drew Brees Has Signed Back with the Saints
The list of people who are happiest that Drew Brees is back in NOLA would be too numerous to name. It would probably run longer than the Mississippi River itself, but that group would have one thing in common. They'd all belong to the Who Dat Nation.
You can't really pick out a specific person like say, Pete Carmichael, or a group, the offensive unit and say that they were missing Brees.
That high sense of longing belonged to the entire fanbase of the Who Dat Nation.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This offseason had been a difficult one if you happened to be a Saints fan. You lost your coach, your defensive leader and, most importantly, had your quarterback have an ugly contract dispute dragged out until about a dozen days ago.
That signing had the entire NOLA area breathing a huge sigh of relief.
Not just a sigh of relief, but it got plenty of fans "off of the ledge" who were stressed out and just needed a break after it seemed like "the world" was against their beloved Saints.
There wasn't one conversation that I had with people that didn't have the question, "When is Drew going to sign?" slipped into it.
The connection with this town and team is well documented. There is no other NFL team with that type of connection.
This fanbase has been through a lot with the Saints, and it has been Brees that's been the focal point of that resilience. His absence from the team relegated New Orleans to a third-tier team, and the fans knew it, enter stressful offseason.
But I tell you what, since Drew put pen to paper on the "luckiest" Friday the 13th a dozen of days ago, it feels like that black cloud has been lifted over the Superdome.
That's how powerful his presence is, no matter how bad it was this offseason, seeing No. 9 back in black and gold was just enough to put a smile on every Who Dat's face.
