WWE Raw: 10 Moments That Need to Happen on the 1,000th Episode
So much to do, so much to see, so much to say.
What a night this is going to be.
I cannot wait for the 1,000th episode of Raw to go down (look for my live blog on Monday night).
So many great moments have made up 1,000 episodes, and we as fans want to be transformed and brought back to a time and place we hold sacred.
Back when the wrestling ring had become our playground and the Raw stage, no matter when a live show was being shown, had become our temple.
Back when our superstars, whom we loved and hated—and still do to this day—became our family and our heroes. We just want a few more defining moments with them.
Here are some things we need to see Monday night.
You're Fired!
1 of 10Someone has to bite the bullet or land on the sword. "You're Fired" is as good as anything the WWE has ever come up with.
Now that the Raw GM is still up in the air and there is a chance we may see Brock Lesnar or some other star re-emerging, couldn't we see Vinnie Mac make another proclamation?
For Those of You with the Benefit of Flash Photography
2 of 10Edge and Christian once again.
Pure magic for two superstars who really embraced the last 15 years of this business.
They are as much a part of creating the magic on Raw as anyone in the company.
Seeing them together once again would be a joy to watch.
Oh, You Didn't Know?
3 of 10If DX is going to be there, then these two should be as well.
No one tag team creates such a stir when they come to the ring. And Road Dogg and Billy Gunn were two outstanding performers in the ring.
If anything, we want Road Dogg to entertain us just one more time.
A WWE Wedding
4 of 10And you know, with the exception of Miss Elizabeth and Randy Savage, they never go off without a hitch.
This could be a very interesting night for both AJ and Daniel Bryan.
Could Kane emerge to steal the bride? Could Bryan's next opponent be revealed in the ceremony?
Who will be the best man?
All interesting factoids to think about.
Jim Ross Must Be at the Announcer's Table
5 of 10The man with the golden voice must make another appearance.
We need to hear good ol' J.R. one more time.
While Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole are a good tandem, they don't match up to the duo of Lawler and Ross.
While Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan were good and great, Ross and Lawler were superior to everyone else.
Announcement of New Raw General Manager
6 of 10Or the elimination of one.
Why do I have a feeling the Raw GM will soon become a distant memory?
Hornswoggle was revealed as the computer GM, which was a total bogus attempt at hilarity.
We need someone who can lay down the punishment if needed, or we don't need one at all.
Re-Emergence of Kharma
7 of 10It would be awesome for Kharma to interrupt the party, so to speak, and proclaim herself the queen of the divas.
And come to think of it, if Lita or Trish Stratus show up at the festivities, wouldn't it be something to see if Kharma backs down from either of these divas?
The Rock Says
8 of 10We all know he will be there, but what will he have to say?
Does The Rock have something profound to get off his chest? Maybe some plans for WrestleMania 29?
Could he reveal his plans for when he chooses to seek WWE gold again? All in due time. But we will be waiting on his every word.
Brock Lesnar Must Accept Triple H's Challenge
9 of 10This is all but a forgone conclusion.
We just need to see some drama attached to it.
Could Paul Heyman and John Laurinaitis be involved in this? What about Big Show?
Could others be brought into the fray?
Cena Must Beat Punk
10 of 10To make everything align right in the WWE, John Cena must be holding gold again.
Cena is the most loved and vilified character in the WWE, and for good reason.
But he bleeds WWE through and through. Punk is a character that can be changed in a matter of snapping your fingers.
Cena/Punk isn't as good as Rock/Austin, but it's pretty darn good.
