WWE '13: Stone Cold Steve Austin Limited Edition Package Announced

All has been quiet on the WWE ’13 front recently, but it has been revealed by THQ.com that a special collector’s edition of the game will be released in North America:

This seems like the perfect marketing strategy for THQ as they are trying to implement the Attitude Era into the game and there is no better way than including a ton of Austin goodies only available to those who pre-order this magnificent edition of the game:

The package contains a beer-truckload of goodies, but perhaps most importantly, it will also give you access to an exclusive Stone Cold Steve Austin in-game attire, including—because you demanded it—not one, but two, count ‘em TWO knee braces.

"

Fans have wanted two knee braces on Austin for as long as I can remember and it looks like THQ have finally listened to their fans and have given him a realistic look.

However, looking at the pictures, it is clear to see that Austin is extremely out of proportion, his chest being given more of an WWE All-Stars look.

I am hopeful that THQ will see this error and correct it before the game is released worldwide.

The multitude of goodies included in the limited edition of the game was also outlined by THQ;

The foil packaging sounds amazing and would make an excellent bit of merchandise for any kind of game collector or wrestling fan.

The art-card signed by Stone Cold also sounds brilliant if it is actually hand-signed by the most popular superstar of all time, and not printed.

It sounds like a couple of attires will be added to the game that will probably allow for a heel Austin to be implemented by people obsessed with Universe mode.

The ATV entrance is also a nice addition but if it looks sketchy (as the current screenshots suggest it might), I will be severely disappointed.

It is no secret that I think THQ is severely underperforming in the graphics department and judging from these recent screenshots it seems the problem is still as prevalent as it ever was.

Nevertheless, it seems North Americans are in for a great treat when WWE ’13 is released. I just hope the UK gets something similar.
