WWE Money in the Bank 2012 Results: The Miz Deserves Rumored Push

When The Miz announced to the WWE Universe Sunday night at Money in the Bank pay-per-view that he would be involved in the Raw MitB match, there was a feel of legitimate excitement to have one of the company’s top heels back in action.

Now it’s up to WWE to keep the momentum the star created last night going and build it into a push that will culminate with a main-event run in the fall.

While fans can be critical of The Miz for his poor performances in the ring over his career, he looked solid in the Money in the Bank ladder match. With his skills on the microphone, the WWE needs to get him towards the top of the card fast.

After taking a leave from in-ring action for the company while he was off filming the Marine 3, the plan to return as a heel has many of the fans that like The Miz’s bad-guy persona excited about the change of pace he brings.

According to F4WOnline.com, everyone backstage was pleased to see The Miz make his return to WWE at last night's Money in the Bank PPV. The feeling is that The Miz has improved his look while he was off TV shooting the Marine 3, and that he will be pushed as a top heel in the fall.

Despite feeling like it was so much longer than it actually was, we can’t forget that it was The Miz that was headlining a WrestleMania just two years ago. Having him return to the company now is a huge boost for the casual fans.

Before being relegated to jobbing out to everyone under the sun, The Miz was one of the company’s top heels and deserves to be pushed again in that same role. There was clear success working with Cena last time, but there are even better options this time around.

While there aren’t many faces for The Miz to battle, there may be no better opposition than CM Punk.

With two of the best in the WWE on the mic doing battle, Punk and Miz would be able to make up for the mediocre matches with amazing verbal jousting matches.

No matter who Miz squares off with, the hope is that he can have a positive effect on the product WWE is putting forward going into this fall. The company needs all the help they can get.
