He retained the WWE title at the Money In The Bank event against Daniel Bryan. The no-disqualification match culminated and effectively ended their feud, for now.

CM Punk, who’s been the champion since last November’s Survivor Series, is having a successful title reign.

Punk has beaten every opponent trying to take his WWE Title. During Sunday’s broadcast, Michael Cole mentioned that Punk’s title reign was the 17^th longest WWE Title reign in history.

This is a huge accomplishment, considering how many wrestlers have held the prestigious championship title.

How will this amazing accomplishment affect the ratings? The fact that announcers have made his reign sound important will surely boost ratings for Raw.

Storylines and New Feuds

CM Punk successfully closed the book on his feud with Daniel Bryan.

He’s settled his differences with AJ and has retained his WWE title. Where does that leave CM Punk?

It seems inevitable he will face John Cena again. Cena won the briefcase for a WWE title shot.

Cena could cash his briefcase in at any time, and it’s possible Cena could wait and use his shot at Summerslam. He could also wait for his opportunity at Night of Champions, in his home crowd of Boston.

Regardless, Punk and Cena are the biggest draws in the company right now.

It would make sense to have these two men fight since both men have wrapped up their feuds with Daniel Bryan and Big Show.

He is a success story ever since his promo a year ago shocked the WWE Universe and the world. He proved he was a draw when he became the talk of the WWE.

Punk has also beaten Dolph Ziggler, Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan in singles matches. He also survived the elimination chamber match last February.

Punk’s reign has become prestigious and features a great track record of names trying to take Punk’s title.
