WWE Money in the Bank 2012: Bold Predictions for Sunday's PPV Showdown

Richard LangfordJun 3, 2018

Sunday's Money in the Bank Ladder Match is not going to be the most thrilling wrestling action, but it will be loaded with drama and will set up for some nice storylines.

The pieces are in place to further some rivalries and set up for some tantalizing title matches, and this had to have been the goal for the scheduling.

So, keeping that in mind, here is how I've deduced the action will play out.

John Cena Will Grab the Briefcase

Let's just start off with the real meat and potatoes of the event: Cena has guaranteed he is going to win this event, and there is no reason to doubt him.

The WWE is not going to put the face of the company in the spotlight like this and have him fail. It is time for Cena to reign as champion, and this is the perfect platform to get him there.

Daniel Bryan Will Be WWE Champ

First, let me say that Bryan deserves this title. He is entertaining, athletic and charismatic—but that is not why he is going to win this title.

Bryan is going to win to help set up a CM Punk and John Cena feud, and he will do so with a little help from AJ.

The company has been angling for AJ to get her revenge on Punk since he rejected her marriage proposal, and this is the perfect opportunity.

That will allow Cena to quickly take the title from Bryan, and then he and Punk can begin building for an epic showdown between the two.

Sheamus Will Retain Heavyweight Title

I'm already sick of Sheamus' title run, and I'm certainly not alone. The company has to realize this, but instead of getting him out of the spotlight, they are leaving him in it and trying everything they can to build him up as a dominant persona.

That will continue with another title defense as he defeats Albert Del Rio. Sheamus and Del Rio have a nice little feud going, and it would add some fuel to the fire to have Del Rio win. But that would take away from the credibility they have worked so hard to build up in Sheamus, which is exactly why that will never happen.
