WWE Money in the Bank 2012: Deserving Superstars Who Won't Win Contracts

Brian MaziqueJul 15, 2012

I predict that John Cena and Dolph Ziggler will win the championship contracts tonight at WWE Money in the Bank, but neither would be my first choice.

I'm a big Ziggler fan and I'm not a Cena hater, so I won't go into a tizzy if they are victorious, but Damien Sandow and Kane deserve the victories.

Sandow will face off with seven other stars (Tensai, Santino Marella, Tyson Kidd, Dolph Ziggler, Christian, Sin Cara and Cody Rhodes) for the right to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship.

He has everything needed to become a Five-Point Star. It's been a long time since a newcomer captivated audiences with their mic work the way Sandow has.

He is very good in the ring, and I expect him to put on a show in that regard tonight.

But I know he won't win. It's simply too soon.

Though he made his initial WWE run back in 2002, this is his first real push with a solid gimmick.

Sandow is certainly one of the upcoming superstars, but usually the WWE makes performers wait a bit longer before thrusting them into lofty positions.

Winning the World Heavyweight title contract would make him a major player before he's had any real feud. That just isn't a likely occurrence.

As for the WWE title contract, Kane is the most long-suffering, least-rewarded superstar in a match full of star power. The Big Red Machine will face Cena, Big Show and Chris Jericho for the right to challenge for the WWE title.

Kane has won the WWE's ultimate prize only once in his 17 years in the organization. Jericho has technically only won the WWE title once, but he has won the undisputed WWE title and the WCW title twice as a part of the WWE.

Not to mention the fact that he has won the intercontinental title nine times.

For all the major storylines Kane has been involved in and all the wrestlers he's put over, he deserves one last run.

But I know he won't win.

CeNation is strong, and he will be back in the WWE title picture soon. Kane will just keep performing without being properly recognized.
