WWE News: Almost 10 Years Later, Katie Vick Trends on Twitter
On the heels of a recent interview with two former WWE writers.
The most infamous gimmick in Raw history has reared its ugly head again. According to WrestlingInc.com, Seth Mates and Chris Gough, two fomer WWE writers, were guests on a podcast and spoke about the "Katie Vick" angle.

"The necrophilia thing had only really begun in that vignette. That vignette was done by Stephanie (McMahon), Vince, and Bruce (Pritchard), and I believe it was mostly Stephanie; Stephanie Triple H, and Vince were the ones behind that. This wasn't discussed; Triple H was involved the whole time, so no one had to explain it to him. He was obviously almost part of the family at the point, he knew everything that was going on. Kane, on the other hand, he was getting a little bored with his direction. He had the big start in '97, and it ran its course. He wanted to change it up a little bit, so they decided they were gonna push him to go for a title run eventually, for the World Heavyweight Championship against Triple H in October. It was a situation where he knew it was going to be a big push, he's taking on Triple H.

After this story broke Thursday morning, it took only a few hours for Katie Vick to turn into a trending topic on Twitter. For those of you unaware of the Katie Vick story, you can watch this video that explains it all.
So here we are, just a few months shy of the angle's 10-year anniversary, and it seemingly won't go away. Sadly, the WWE will probably forever have this black eye in their history and may never get away from it. Ultimately, all parties involved learned a valuable lesson about over-the-top story lines and have since toned down their overactive imaginations.
In the end, say what you will about this tasteless angle, the WWE clearly knew what they were doing, as it's still probably the most talked about angle in the history of Raw.
