WWE Money in the Bank 2012: World Championship Contract Match Will Be Stellar

Brian MaziqueJun 5, 2018

The Money in the Bank match for the right to challenge the World Heavyweight champion will be a preview of who's next in the WWE.

The superstars included in this match are among the brightest young stars the WWE has to offer. I think the setup and balance against the WWE Championship contract match is very appropriate.

This ladder match will be one for the ages.

The following superstars will be vying for a shot at the World Heavyweight title: Damien Sandow, Tyson Kidd, Christian, Santino Marella, Tensai, Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler and Sin Cara.

Obviously, not all of the wrestlers in this group are young. Tensai and Christian have been around for a while. Christian seems to be settled into a role that sees him putting over the heirs to the WWE throne.

That duty began with his feud with Cody Rhodes. Christian also has great history in gimmick matches, and he should perform well.

As for Tensai, whom the WWE seems to love, he is like a man without a place right now. His inclusion is the most perplexing in my opinion.

But aside from him, the matches' participants are going to blow our minds.

Sandow has an excellent future as a balanced superstar. I knew he was headed for great things from the moment I saw him deliver this awesomely done debut promo:

Sandow can do more than talk. He is very capable in the ring, and has the makings of becoming a Five-Point Star.

He has shown the ability to tell a story in the ring, and he could be the ultimate villain in the WWE in the next three years.

Tyson Kidd and Sin Cara are among the most exciting high-flyers in the WWE. That skill always lends itself to an exciting ladder match. I believe Dolph Ziggler is headed for major stardom as well, and he's my pick to win this match.

Cody Rhodes and Santino have already experienced some level of stardom, but there is room for growth—especially in Rhodes' case.

This match will ultimately springboard one of the performers' careers to the next level. This is why it's a must-see.

It could be the root of one of those "his rise started when he won the Money in the Bank" conversations.

Hopefully, the WWE doesn't screw this match up and place Tensai or Christian as the winner. It would be such a waste to do that with this crop of young superstars.

We'll just have to watch to find out.
