Not even the WWE could have written this storyline.

Yet, WrestlingInc.com is reporting:

Former WWE talent Serena Deeb, 26, was arrested on July 8, 2012 in Tampa, Florida for operating a vessel while intoxicated. Her crime was categorized as BUI—Boating Under the Influence.

Unfortunately, Serena was unceremoniously fired by the WWE back in 2010 for not living the straight-edge lifestyle in real life despite being a part of WWE's "Straight Edge Society."

During her WWE tenure, she was widely considered one of the better female wrestlers on the roster; and up until that point, appeared to have a bright future ahead of her.

In 2011, Deeb partook in a tryout match for TNA. A few months and no offer later, Deeb was forced to step away from the squared circle due to suffering a serious concussion.

Keep in mind, although she is currently out of the business, many people have come back after suffering a concussion. So it's very possible that we could see her in the ring again. Which would be great, considering she is still young and talented enough to continue wrestling in some capacity.

In the end, I am hopeful that this is a once-in-a-lifetime issue, as many people have made mistakes. However, only a handful learn from them and move forward with their lives.

Lord knows, we don't need to see another former wrestling star in the news for the wrong reasons.
