Matt Cassel was booed repeatedly during an appearance at a celebrity softball event that aired last night on ESPN and was recorded the day before. In 2010, Cassel led the Chiefs to a division title and was injured in 2011. I guess the general sentiment in Kansas City is, "What have you done for me lately, Matt Cassel?"

Oakland

The Raiders have until July 16 to sign Tyvon Branch and they could save $5.5 million against the salary cap by signing him to a long-term deal. That kind of flexibility could give the Raiders enough ammunition to go out and sign a veteran like Cedric Benson, Ryan Grant or E.J. Henderson.

Ex-Raider Anthony Smith is being charged with four murders. Life after the NFL is tough for many and it's easy to go down the wrong path. Smith went down a very wrong path. 

San Diego

The Chargers admitted to soliciting Chiefs fans for group tickets. The Chargers insist that the blunder was a single sales rep acting alone, but the ticket sales reps must be desperate to move tickets if he felt the need to reach out to opposing fans.
