Gone Baby GoneJun 7, 2018

Keep in mind, the article's title says spoiler and I intend to be writing about just that. So if you like surprises and don't want Monday Night's live Raw ruined, please read no further.

For everyone else here we go.

According to WrestlingInc.com a former two-time WWE champ may be returning:

WWE Legend Bob Backlund is expected to be the Legend who returns on tonight's WWE RAW Supershow. If Backlund is indeed the Legend for this week, he will likely do a match or angle with Heath Slater.

Backlund was visiting his mother at her rest home in Minnesota this weekend and told people there that he was headed to Denver, Colorado where tonight's RAW Supershow is being held.

"

Backlund was hot in the '80s, until a scripted injury forced him to step away for an extended period of time. Around the time of his injury he was slated to wrestle The Iron Sheik for the then-WWF title at Madison Square Garden. Having no other option, the WWF filled Backland's spot with a little known wrestler named Hulk Hogan, and the rest is history.

Since his initial departure Backlund has made several returns to the WWE. His most successful was in 1994. During this time, he was involved in a heated feud with Bret Hart and eventually won the WWF title from Hart. After his three-day run, Backlund lost the title to Diesel and started to fade back into obscurity.

Backlund has since appeared on WWE TV for random spots, and I can only expect the same for tonight's Raw.

In fact, I am willing to bet that he will be the next to take down Heath Slater. I guess we shall see what happens tonight, as the WWE has been diligently making sure we see more Legends of the past as it closes in on the 1,000th episode of Raw.
